My first knitting project completed!!
New scarf for Izzie-bizzie from the yarn she picked out.
Tah-dah!!! How cute is that!?!! Izzie absolutely loved it. Which made it that much more special for me.
Nana teaching Izzie how to do a hand stand by starting with your head to the ground and putting your knees on your elbows... and pushing up!
Yarn for my next knitting project... once I get the hang of scarfs I'm going to move on to hats.... gloves... etc. Wooot!
I planned on knitting this weekend with Izzie so I brought her birthday present that she got from her BFF in Spokane the year before. It's a knitting machine! and umm.... yeah... I'm not a fan of it. But we had fun figuring it out and making a new hat for her doll Kit!
Feeding the ducks with Nana just outside their front door.
What Izzie would look like with braces. Teehee.
Izzie's and the bracelet I made for her stacked together. They are magnetic!
Ms. Izzie-bizzie loves being up with Papa by his computer. She sits at this computer and makes drawings for everyone in the house. After her project is complete on the computer she'll have Papa print it out and then Izzie gives them to each person. :)
Go Fish! :)
Izzie ever so precise way of keeping her cards organized.
Uno!

Izzie and I woke up and got dressed in our warm clothes then headed out to the park to support Uncle Nate! He was running in the Zeitgeist Half Marathon that morning.
We got there about 10 minutes before it started and tried to find Nate in the crowd.... couldn't see him anywhere.
We stood to the side and we both kept our eyes peeled for Nate. There were soooo many people and we couldn't seem to find him in the crowd. We waited until they did the last call for all the people participating... then we got in the car and headed out to the half way mark.
We saw the first place runner..... whew.... no way we missed Nate this time.
A few runner went by and this there was this guy running with a jogger stroller pushing two kiddos.... now that's some serious dedication to a marathon! Sheesh.
We got out of the car and stood on the sidewalk. I decided I would play the part of cheerleader.... not just for Nate but for EVERYBODY running. That's right.... if you ran that race you probably saw me smiling, clapping and yelling for you. I smiled so much my cheeks hurt! While cheering people on I got compliments on my teeth, my coat, my shoes and my hat.... lol cracked me up. "Yeah! Keep up the good work.... you're doing awesome!!" then they would smile and say "Thanks, I love your coat!" along with other things... haha....
So we stood there.... and stood there.... and still no Nate. At this point the people who are walking the marathon are coming through..... how in the world did I miss Nate??! What the....
We drive back to the start.... where the finish is and wait there for Nate....
We wait.... and wait.... and wait...... Now I'm a bit worried. I called the wifey and she told me what he was wearing so I could keep a better eye for him. I called Nate's cell a few times leaving msg's so he knew we were looking for him if he ever made it back to his phone.
I figured I would stay put at the finish line until I heard something..... then my phone rang.... NATE!
We finally found you!!
Nate had a lot of mishaps that morning....
delayed because of lines at bathrooms....
left chip in car.... run all the way back to car....
Race isn't marked well at this point so they head out running in the direction they think they should be going. A cyclist tells them they need to be running this way..... ummm no wrong way.....
After about 8 miles of running all over the WRONG place they finally make it to the start of the race..... uhh, seriously?
Tap tap, we're out.
Next time Nate! :)
I've always wanted to learn to knit. Yes, you can call me Grandma.... my bff already does and is constantly making fun of me for my desire to knit. While in Boise I talked my mom into showing me the ropes of knitting. We got all the supplies and a book to teach me.
Izzie picked out some yarn she wanted me to make her a scarf with!
ok.... here goes!
Got the hang of it quickly and was quite proud of myself until Izzie tried the scarf on with what I had so far.......
yeah. Not the look I was going for. I took the whole thing apart and started over.... haha... that's the good part about knitting. You don't like it... you can just take the whole thing apart and start over. No wasting yarn! :)
Got a call from the twin inviting Izzard and I to dinner. I told her I would bring the ingredients.... she could be in charge of the steaming the rice and dessert :)
Nana and I grabbed the cruisers and hit the store for supplies before heading out to Reese's.
I heart my dad's cruiser. I want it. I wanted to stick it on my bike rack and take it home with me. When you ride this bike.... you can not help but SMILE from ear to ear. Seriously.... it's magic. I'm in love.
We had a oh so yummy dinner at Reese's and a delicious dessert! mmmm.

Izzie talking on Papa's sleek, slender and oh so portable cell phone.
My parents just got back from a few weeks in Hawaii... my dad packed up his very expensive bike and flew it over.... how did it make it safely... well this note along with the 8 other identical ones packed inside might have helped.
Couldn't stop laughing when I read this, had to take a picture for everyone's viewing pleasure.
Serious game of go fish.
I headed out to meet up with Izzie's teacher for Parent Teacher Conference. Such a joy hearing what other people have to say about your wee little one and the progress she is making in school. Warms the mama's heart. Took a couple pictures of her projects that were on display in her classroom.
While at REI Izzie insisted that she needed this bike... wanted to ride it home she needed it so badly... :) Maybe next time ;)
Izzie loves peace signs and really loves drawing them on anything she can get her hands on.
Papa enjoying one of the turkey brownie pops I brought down from Spokompton.
While eating dinner Izzie and I were talking about how we hadn't seen "Up" before. It was playing at one of my parents theater in Nampa... (we were in Eagle) it was 6:45pm and the next and last showing (they were dropping the movie the next day) was at 7:05pm... Nana announces well "LET'S GO!!"
23 minutes later (seriously... did I mention my mom's mini is umm, fast) we were sitting in the theater watching moments before the movie started!
Pays to have connections... my dad called and had them stall the movie for 10 minutes so we wouldn't miss the beginning. Teehee. Sorry everyone else in the theater! We sure enjoyed it! :)
All things are
working out for
my highest good.

Sitting... chillin' with the babe while we kill a few minutes before picking Izzie-bizzie up from school. :) It was such a beautiful day... perfect fall temperature outside while the sun kept you toasty. Bliss.
After picking up Izzard from school we headed to the park to get some serious play time in!
Izzie wanted to be buried by all the leaves. There weren't many on the ground we gathered and gathered and then buried.
Gorgeous Izzie-bizzie.
Thumb-war. Izzie is quite the competitor... pretty sure she beat me.
I can fly!
Aaron decided he could do the monkey bars too... hahah! Umm, yeah not so much. Got his butt kicked by a 7 year old girl! :)
Izzie was trying really hard to sneak up on this squirrel.... when she stopped the squirrel perked up and stood on his back legs checking Izzie out... she waved... squirrel took off :)
After dropping Aaron off at the airport we met up with Nate and Jme for some dinner at...... you guessed it... the bird.
Izzie was super stoked to give Uncle Nate his birthday present.... a WWND (What would Ninja do?) spin wheel... help him make decisions in life, a bell for his bike AND multi-colored streamers for his bike!
Lucky!
When Izzie saw what I picked out for Nate she looked at me and said...
"Uhh, Eric's gonna totally make fun of Nate now."
I choose

make me feel
good and
bring me joy.

Wanna laugh? Watch this video of the Eman when he got the hiccups the other day.... h.i.l.a.r.i.o.u.s!
Ever since we got Elliott his Buzz light year pj's we have a hard time getting him out of them the next morning. I pick my battles... that's a battle I don't fight over. Don't wanna change just yet? alrighty. I understand completely why you see children in stores or out in public in pj's.
Elliott's all time favorite thing is anything with some sort of a wheel. He has lots... and lots.... and lots of cars.
He loves his hot wheel cars and knows most of them by name. Random moments he'll come up to me through the day show me a car and tell me it's name... "Lamborghini!" ... "GT 40".... "Mustang"..."Acura R8".... you get the idea. You can name a car and he will bring it back to you.
Walking around the house you will find rows of cars EVERYWHERE. He loves to line them up.... drive them slowly while watching the wheel go round.
We had a credit with Other Mothers that we randomly remembered about... from 2 years ago! oops. We went to see if they had anything worth while and we hit the jackpot!
A train set! Elliott's other passion... trains! We live near some railroad tracks and you can hear it from time to time... Elliott will run to the window screaming "You hear it?? Chooooo chooooo!!" When we drive in the car Izzie and Elliott both take turns pointing out trains and counting the cars attached. Since we got Elliott this train set he eats... sleeps.. and breathes it! First thing in the morning he is playing with it until the last moment at night.
He thinks it's the coolest thing that he can control the train!
Since Elliott played with Tyson's phone at the hospital when we went to see their new babe he has been asking to play on my phone. I downloaded a few of the learning apps and it took him minutes to get the entire thing mastered.
He knows his number's perfectly up till 10 and does ok to 20.
He knows all the letters when they are capital and he almost has the lower case ones mastered. He even has most of the sounds that each letter makes mastered.
He knows all his colors.
He knows all his shapes.
Elliott will turn THREE in 10 days.... wow time has flown!
Today's Positive Thought
Peace comes from within, not from without.
